support and info

Being pregnant I learned that most pregnancies experience bleeding during the the first few weeks. Early on, it can be caused implantation bleeding. This is when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus wall. Bleeding can also be caused by an infection such as a urinary tract infection (UTI), or from hormones.

I had cramping which of course I was nervous about when I first experienced it but it is normal and you experience it through out your pregnancy. Cramping is usually caused by stretching of the uterus to accommodate your growing baby. It can also be your body telling you that you are doing too much. What would help me is laying down on my side. It would go away after a few minutes. Sometimes you will experience sharp pains, sort of on your side usually later on in the pregnancy. These are the ligaments that support your uterus. They stretch, and sometimes when you suddenly make a move it may hurt a little. You should call a doctor if your cramps get progressively worse, and or accompanied by watery discharge, gush of water or blood.

If you don't have too many pregnancy signs, or none at all that is okay too. It happens to many women. When I was pregnant I had no idea that I was until I went to the emergency room. By the time I found out I was pregnant I was already 6 weeks. It never crossed my mind that I could be pregnant. I was experiencing light bleeding, and a bit of cramping, with a light fever. It turned out that I had a UTI and since I was pregnant that was causing the bleeding. My little Princess (then Jellybean) was doing just fine. I saw her for the first time that day, I saw her little heart flickering in an ultrasound. Through out my pregnancy I only experienced maybe 2 or 3 major symptoms in my first, and second trimesters. I had a few others that I didn't know were symptoms like spitting all the time.

If your intuition is telling you "something is wrong", and you just can't let the feeling go definitely get yourself checked out. Before I went into labor I had a small nagging feeling something was wrong for about a week. I kept noticing little things here and there with my body that I thought were strange. It was the first time I was ever pregnant, I didn't really know much about it. I had just gone to my sonogram appointment, and I was told everything looked fine, and my monthly appointment was coming up in a few days. I thought I would just wait. When I did go to my appointment my doctor just kept saying everything was normal, but I still felt something was wrong especially since my water actually broke that same day. I didn't know it though, and she told me watery discharge was normal. I thought she knew what she was talking about, obviously not.
