When I lost my daughter, I was given a empty memory box. Soon enough it became full of little mementos, things that reminded me of her and things that belonged to her. Having the memory box that I was given means so much to me. I keep it near at all times when I am home and when I am working on this project. To me this memory box was an acknowledgement of Alana's life.
My memory box inspired me to use my artistic talents to begin a program of my own, in honor of our daughter Alana. We call them- Precious Memory Boxes. We know that these Precious Memory Boxes will mean a lot to the parents who receive them. They will let parents know that their child's life is special no matter how long they were with us. We hope these boxes will help to bring comfort during the really tough days, and the ones when you feel okay knowing that someone out there knows your baby is precious too.
