In
rememberance of
Angel Destiney
Born May 9th 2006
"My
Mom has an incompetent cervix also and when I found out I was
pregnant I made sure I told everyone. Everyone said its not
hereditary and over looked it. So here is my story of my first
loss Angel Destiney. I woke up and felt a little weird like
something was open not something I could really explain. Being
that I had never been pregnant before I didn’t know if
it was normal or not I was like well I have an appointment tomorrow
so I can ask about it then. So I was on the computer surfing
the net going about my business. So I happened to feel a sneeze
come on so I sneezed and thats where it all began. I heard pop
my water broke I didn’t know what to do so I told Phillip
lets go we need to go to the hospital now. So we went to the
ER and I had to wait in the waiting room for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
Everything progressed I lost my mucus plug. Finally I got into
a room my little Angel had already passed because she couldn’t
breath air she was not developed enough. Oh yes I was 15 weeks
and 6 days into my pregnancy (about 4 months) So I was given
pitocin to help natrually bring everything to where it needed
to be. so I was given pain meds and something so I wouldn’t
vomit but it actually made me vomit. so everything keep going
as it was but because of the pain meds I couldn’t feel
contractions but when the meds wore off I could feel them. So
they continued to give me that and the meds for vomiting. Well
in that I had to vomit again and with that it caused me to push
my baby out, I didn’t even know thats what had happen.
I told Phillip to let the nurses or someone to know I felt a
gush of fluid. Well it must of been an hour later someone actually
came in and in that time I didn’t move at all. When they
finally came in I found out that it was my little Angel I had
given birth to. They came and got her I asked to see her but
they hesitated but finally did. She was so tiny I felt so horrible
that she had to go through all that she did but I hoped she
didn’t have to suffer long. So I was still stuck in the
ER they were going to do a D&C if I couldn’t pass
the placenta. I couldn’t eat or drink anything which it
had been hours since I had even eaten before then. So they did
some ultarsounds everything was out the but placenta. So finally
hours later the Dr. I had just changed to finally came in and
well he decided to have me do maternal pushing while he pulled
on it and it finally it came out. So I had to give birth to
that also. Everything that any other full term pregnancy would
have to do I did. Well then they monitored me for a while and
then basically kicked me out of the hospital like I had just
went in to get an abortion done or something...So cold. They
wouldn’t even give me a few pad to take home I was told
I could go to the store and buy them. So I had to go in two
weeks later and have a check up. All though he didn’t
actually check anything and just talked to me and sent me on
my way. Well the bleeding should of went away but it didn’t
it got worse and worse. A month later after the loss of my baby
Angel I continued to bleeding more then before. Finally I went
to another Dr. and he was quite angry my other Dr. Didn’t
check me at my two week check up they did an ultrasound and
I still had something inside of me, thats why I kept bleeding
and it got progressively worse. So he scheduled me to have a
D&C for the next morning. Things finally got better after
that and the bleeding stopped. I was also after a week of dealing
with the hospital after I was there for the miscarriage was
given a memory box with her little tiny foot prints. Which I
now have a tattoo of on my ankle."
